Tap Into Polk County is a series of events across the region Sept. 14th - Sept. 23rd. It's a chance for visitors and locals to experience authentic agriculture, kick off the fall season, and relax with a pint of delicious beer (or two).
Need something to do? Explore bountiful farmers markets, Independence's Hop and Heritage Block Party, ghost walks, murder mystery dinners, sales on local beer, and more wonderful autumn activities. Check back soon for details on all the events!
Mid-Valley Wine Trail's 2018 Harvest Passport Wine Tour

The Mid-Valley Wine Trail invites you to join us for our 2018 Harvest Wine Tour! Here is your chance to sample the best Oregon wines from September 1st through October 31st. Passports available for purchase for $20 at the following participating wineries:
Chateau Bianca, Namaste Vineyards, Left Coast Estate, Johan Vineyards, Firesteed Cellars, Eola Hills Wine Cellars , and Van Duzer Vineyards
Visit 4 wineries and be entered to win a gift basket from one of the wineries. Visit all 7 wineries and be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE: a nights stay at the Grand Hotel Salem and dinner for two at Bentley's Grill as well as 2 wines from each winery, that's 14 bottles of wine!
Independence Downtown Association Ghost Walk

Rogue Farm Tours

At their farms in Independence and Tygh Valley, Oregon Rogue grows more than a dozen ingredients for their beer, spirits, cider, and soda. On the tour of the Independence Hop Farm, you'll get your hands on the hopes as they're climbing the vine, learn about the history of hops in Independence and Rogue's impact on them. Stop by the Revolution Garden to see experimental ingredients and say hi to the pigs, Voo and Doo! The tour wraps up with the processing of hops where they pick, sort, kiln, dry, cool, and bale 52 aces of proprietary hops! All this while you sip on a Rogue Farms Ale with the ingredients grown on site. Tour times available during Tap Into Polk County September 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd at 1pm and 3pm. Completely free! Come for a free, all levels yoga class and then stay for a glass of wine in this incredible tasting room. Please bring your own yoga mat, and food for a post-class picnic!

Heritage Auto Show

The Heritage Auto Show features extremely rare and unique vehicles with the intend of bringing to light, and preserving, our automotive history and heritage. This year the show will have a special tribute to 'Pontiac and Oldsmobile, Lost Marque of GM.' Food vendors will be available onsite. Main Street Park, Monmouth (120 Main St E) 9am to 3pm.
